Bamber promises All Will Be Revealed after all

When Sci Fi channel chose the slogan "All Will Be Revealed" for the last season of Battlestar, it was met with groans of derision from many veteran fans who've been there, done that. The first ten season four episodes revealed a little, but much less than expected, about what the frak does it all mean?

Ever loyal to BSG fans, Katee Sackhoff warned everything "will not be tied up into a neat little bow." No happy endings and not many answers to be had for her character or for the story in a larger sense. Pretty soon everyone started talking about bows left untied. So by now, many fans expect that all things BSG will remain true to the show's trademark ambiguity. At series' end, they'll be left jilted at the Altar of Reveal holding a dozen unanswered questions like a wilted bouquet.

But Jamie Bamber tells Sci Fi Wire today, the remaining season will wrap up all the outstanding questions and mysteries. Everything.

He said over the weekend, "I think the writers really took it upon themselves to be responsible for all the strange twists and story points and surprises and to try and resolve everything in a way that makes sense. ...in a neat little dark and gritty bow. (I still would not expect any bright and shiny happy endings.)

I expect Katee was telling the truth at the time she said it, which was while beginning to film the last three episodes. At that point, there was only ribbon and no knots yet, so to speak.

Evidently, to answer any of the major outstanding questions is to pull a thread that rapidly starts to unravel the whole big BSG ball of mystery twine. Many of the answers to Battlestar's questions are intimately interconnected. If so, expect All Will Be Revealed not to happen until March 2009, around the time of the last two episodes and finale.
